WHEELS!
Exactly 10 years ago, Bernd C. Dietrich began what is perhaps his most important cycle of works. In 2014, he created his first WHEEL – a homage by the artist to his famous friend Christo and his ‘Big Air Package’ project in Oberhausen. Originally planned as a cycle of 12, almost 100 works have been created since 2014.
Not only art collectors around the world are captivated by Dietrich’s works, the artist has also caught the attention of Christie’s art house. Two works from the ‘WHEEL’ cycle have already been auctioned in 2023 and 2024 at new record prices for this artist – further presentations, including at auction houses, are planned for autumn 2024 and spring 2025. The values of these artworks are developing dynamically accordingly.
