Fabian Pfleger: Ego Metamorphosis August 18 – September 9
Fabian Pfleger is without doubt one of the most promising young German artists at the moment. With his unconventionally narrative painting full of depth and self-irony, between realism and surrealism, he swims against the tide of an art world increasingly focused on multimedia content. A comparison with the young Neo Rauch is almost inevitable.
Pfleger’s works are characterized by uniquely multi-layered and profound compositions in which the artist himself takes on leading and supporting roles in order to address both personal and socially relevant themes. Like an actor, he slips into the various roles of the scenery: “My pictures pose questions to the viewer and society precisely because at first glance they only deal with myself and my person …” says the artist.
Fabian Pfleger already received various scholarships and awards for his unique paintings during his studies, most recently the ACADEMY SELECTION AWARD 2022.
With “Ego Metamorphosis”, Galerie Kellermann is now presenting the first solo gallery exhibition with 15 spectacular new unique works. We are also pleased to present the artist’s first limited and hand-signed graphic editions with this exhibition.
