The carrier bag created for the documenta contained additional information material and was a call for direct democracy through a referendum. On one side of the bag you can see the diagram “Comparison of two forms of society”: democracy (green above) and party state (red below). On the other side, a typical Beuys mind mapping in the artist’s handwriting “This is how the party state can be overcome!”
