The three graces from Greek mythology were daughters of Zeus and were called Euphrosyne (“the cheerful one”), Thalia (“the blossoming one”) and Aglaia (“the radiant one”). They brought grace, beauty and joy with them. Markus Lüpertz presents them Graces consciously present themselves beyond the usual ideals of beauty. Because grace, beauty and joy can be found in all people, we just have to perceive them!
