The ACADEMY SELECTION AWARD, endowed with 5000 euros, was presented for the third time in a row in 2024. The aim of the award is not only to showcase young art, but also to specifically promote outstanding positions. Out of 56 artists from 13 different academies in Germany, one personality whose work was the most convincing was honored. The whole of Düsseldorf could have its say: All visitors to the 2 major ACADEMY SELECTION exhibitions were invited to nominate their three favorites.
With the special exhibition “The Finals”, Galerie Kellermann finally showed the finalists of ACADEMY SELECTION 24 as well as works by the two previous year’s winners 2022 Fabian Pfleger and 2023 Merlin Reichart.

Together with patron Miriam Koch – Councillor for Culture and Integration of the City of Düsseldorf – gallery owners Bärbel and Matthias Kellermann presented this year’s ACADEMY SELECTION AWARD at a festive closing event on July 31.
