Bardula: The play with space and light in kinetic OpArt masterpieces
Bardula’s spectacular optical-kinetic light artworks are based on mathematical-geometric shapes in conjunction with color, light reflection, and perspective volume development.
Using modern laser and LED technology, Bardula erases the boundary between the second and third dimensions, creating visual experiences extracted from virtual 3D geometric algorithms and brought to life with spiral vortex movements.
Bardula’s works are exhibited internationally and in many private and public collections, eg. as the MoMa Store of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Her works decorate top contacts such as the Moncler flagship store on Madison Avenue or the Baccarat Hotel in New York City.

Bardula was born in Zurich in 1965 and grew up in Brussels, where she learned the art of silver and goldsmithing. She moved to New York in 1993 and has been based in Paris since 2002. Since 2012, Bardula has been working in her studio in the south of Paris with an architect and scenographer whose passion for scenographic 3D modeling and light has since entered into a conceptual and technological symbiosis with Bardula’s artistic world.
