Optical kinetic masterpieces of international stature
Yoshiyuki Miura’s works combine Japanese minimalism with the tradition of optical kinetics in an outstanding way. Miura’s works can be understood as a systematic structuring of space. With great sensitivity and outstanding technical precision, he creates order in the omnipresent chaos of everyday life. In the tradition of Jesús Rafael Soto and Walter de Maria, he creates expansive installations and kinetic illusory bodies that only our individual perception can assemble into three-dimensional structures.
