In her chimerical “Körperwesen” pictures, Nadja Lana makes reference to the relationship between man and nature, but also to the ancient world of myths and fables, in lusciously colorful panoptics. The ancient god Pan, for example, was a hybrid creature with a human upper body and the abdomen of a goat. Pan stands for unbridled joie de vivre, the joy of music and voluptuous debauchery – elements that can be found in many of Nadja Lana’s works.
