Undrakh Batbold

Edition:

In her paintings, the Mongolian artist Unkdrakh Batbold combines her individual perception of her environment with spontaneous structures originating from her subconscious.

The paintings are the result of quick gestures, spontaneous color overlays, interweaving brushstrokes, scrapings, pattern repetitions and overlapping outlines and figures. The artist plays with opacity and space – pictorial elements are superimposed two- and three-dimensionally on different levels.

This creates dream images, memories overlap, contours blur and yet form the basis for the dots in front, which appear like ripe berries or flying balloons.
