In her paintings, the Mongolian artist Unkrakh Batbold combines her individual perception of the environment with spontaneous structures that arise from the subconscious. Her pictures are the result of quick gestures, spontaneous color coatings, interweaving of brushstrokes, scrapings, repeated patterns and overlapping of outlines and figures. The artist plays with opacity and space. Image elements lie on top of each other in two and three dimensions on different levels.
This is how her dream images are created: memories overlap each other, contours blur and in turn form the basis for the points in the foreground, which appear like ripe berries or flying balloons.
