In the legendary art book suite “Don Quixote de la Mancha” published by Foret, Dali used the stone lithography process for the very first time. He experimented with the stones in completely new ways, for example by letting snails dipped in ink crawl over the lithographic plates and bombarding the stones with eggs filled with lithographic ink.

This lithograph is the original edition from 1957/58, signed on the plate.
