Original graphics by Salvador Dali: lithographs, etchings and mixed media graphics
Salvador Dali was one of the most versatile graphic artists of the 20th century and left posterity with an oeuvre of over 1,500 etchings, lithographs, wood engravings and mixed media graphics. The extremely well-read artist dealt intensively with philosophical and scientific findings and illustrated the great works of world literature like no other artist: his graphics for Cervantes’ “Don Quixote”, Goethe’s “Faust” and “Alice in Wonderland” are world famous to Shakespeare and many other works.
World-famous bronze sculptures, directly from the original publishers In a long-standing friendship, we work directly with the original publishers and successor organizations of many Dali editions, from Christophe Argillet in Paris and Gerhard Reinz in Cologne to Beniamino and Roberta Levi, who published the majority of the most famous sculptures with Salvador Dali. Each work was personally designed by Dali, the first casts were checked by himself and the entire edition was officially authorized.

The asteroid of the outer main belt (2919) Dali is named after him.
Dalí’s love of graphic experimentation
The always busy and curious Salvador Dalí enriched printmaking with many sophisticated graphic experiments that can hardly be found in any other artist of the 20th century. For example, he worked on the printing plates with explosive devices and ax blows, used sugar, which he allowed to crystallize and blasted off the plate, created etchings with normal dinner forks (e.g. in the graphic “Manhattan”, ML 112) and much more. For his famous Don Quixote lithographs (also Don Quixote or Don Quixote), he had snails dipped in ink crawl over the lithographic plates and bombarded them with eggs filled with lithographic ink.
Masterful engravings
Dalí’s graphic work was characterized by close collaboration with the best engravers of his time; The artist himself intervened in the work at any time, even when he worked with some of the best engravers of his time to achieve the technical perfection of some of the works: he corrected and changed the templates, accentuated the print media with the needle and intervened in every phase design process. Such collaboration with engravers and printers has proven itself again and again in art history, for example with Marc Chagall and Sorliet from the famous Mourlot press.
Hand-signed Dali graphic: tested and certified for authenticity
Dali’s works were already among the most successful and most collected works of art in the world during his lifetime. As with all great masters, there are forgeries on the art market. Dalí could never have signed many works. Nevertheless, such counterfeits are still offered today – often on eBay and small auction houses. The Kellermann Gallery only offers you works that have been checked by us for authenticity. Each work is listed in the form offered in the large catalogs raisonnés by Michler/Löpsinger and Albert Field.
