For Dali, the elephant is the symbol of the future. Dali gives the actually heavy animal telescopic legs that reach into the sky, giving it a graceful lightness that defies the laws of nature. The angel is a messenger from the subconscious guiding people through life. As a sign of good luck and success, the elephant triumphantly raises its trunk and the angel plays the heavenly trumpet.

Original bronze edition, conceived in 1975 and first cast in 1984, personally authorized by Dali.
