Dior Thiam is an award-winning, multidisciplinary artist. In her work she is inspired by historical events, literature and personal experiences. It raises questions about the different interpretations of apparently objective knowledge around the world and about the differences in collective memory and its historical assessment.
Through a process of layering, weaving, fragmenting, collecting and reassembling, she extracts different research and found objects and rearranges them to open up new levels of meaning.
